Stainless steel strip is a strip product made from stainless steel through rolling, slitting and other processes. With its unique material properties and processing performance, it is widely used in many fields. Its performance advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1、 Excellent corrosion resistance performance
This is one of the core advantages of stainless steel strips, stemming from the extremely thin and dense chromium oxide film (passivation film) formed on its surface, which can effectively prevent the corrosion of the substrate by oxygen, water, and other corrosive media.
The corrosion resistance of different types of stainless steel strips varies:
304 stainless steel strip: resistant to general corrosion (such as atmospheric, freshwater, weak acid and alkali), suitable for scenarios such as food processing and medical equipment;
316 stainless steel strip: Due to its molybdenum content, it is resistant to salt spray, seawater, and highly corrosive media (such as chemical solutions), making it suitable for marine engineering, chemical equipment, etc;

2、 High strength and mechanical stability
High tensile strength: The tensile strength of stainless steel strip is generally higher than that of ordinary steel strip (such as low carbon steel). The tensile strength of 304 stainless steel strip is about 520MPa, and that of 316 is about 550MPa. It can withstand large external forces such as tension and bending, and is not easy to break or deform.
Good toughness and ductility: can be processed by cold rolling, stamping, bending, etc., can be made into complex shapes (such as precision parts, corrugated pipes), and is not easy to crack after processing, suitable for high-precision forming requirements.
Stable high-temperature mechanical properties: In high-temperature environments (such as 304 stainless steel that can withstand 800 ℃), the strength and hardness decrease slowly, making it suitable for making heat-resistant components (such as oven liners and car exhaust pipe gaskets).
3、 Good hygiene and ease of cleaning
Smooth and pore free surface: After cold rolling or polishing, the surface of stainless steel strip has a high smoothness (low Ra value), which is not easy to breed bacteria and mold, and is not easy to adsorb oil stains and impurities. It meets the hygiene standards of food, medicine and other fields (such as GB 4806.9-2016 Stainless Steel Standard for Food Contact).
Easy to clean and maintain: Only water or neutral detergent is needed to remove surface stains, without complex maintenance, suitable for frequent cleaning scenarios such as kitchen equipment and medical equipment casings.
4、 Aesthetics and Decoration
Diverse surface textures: Various surface effects can be obtained through different processing techniques, such as mirror finish (high smoothness), wire drawing (matte texture), sandblasting (frosted texture), etc., combining metallic luster and modernity, commonly used in the decoration field (such as elevator panels, home appliance shells, building decorative strips).
Not easy to fade or rust: After long-term use, it can still maintain a clean appearance without frequent painting or plating, reducing maintenance costs.
5、 Wear resistance and fatigue resistance
High surface hardness: The hardness of cold-rolled stainless steel strip (such as 304 cold-rolled strip) can reach HV200-300, and its wear resistance is better than ordinary steel. It is suitable for making components that require frequent friction, such as conveyor belts, springs, and bearing pads.
Good fatigue resistance: Under repeated alternating loads (such as spring expansion and mechanical vibration), it is not easy to break due to fatigue, extending the service life of the equipment.
